How to check and pay challan online

Traffic challans too have gone online just like other services due to coronavirus spread.
Either your traffic rule violation has been caught on camera or by a police officer, most likely you will be issued an e-challan.

Things you should keep in handy

  • Vehicle number, Driving licence number, challan number, Engine number
  • Banking details like net banking login credentials, etc
  • Working internet connectivity
Steps to check and pay challan online

1.Visit using your smartphone, tablet or PC

2.Click on ‘Check Challan Status’

3.You can search challan status using license number, vehicle number or challan number

In case you are searching using vehicle number, then make sure to keep the last five digit of engine number or chassis number handy.


4.Choose any one option and enter the details

5.Once the challan details appear, click on Pay now button

6.It will then redirect you to the respective state e-challan payment website, click Next

7.On the payment page, click on ‘Proceed with Net-payment’

8.Complete the payment to pay the challan
