IRCTC iMudra Wallet Assist In Quick Train Ticket Booking: Know Process

When you have planned your journey at the last minute and have Tatkal as the only option to get confirmed train ticket for your long travel journey, a faster payment gateway is required to process the payment transaction as without it may be in for a pain. And now to eliminate the issue, the e-ticketing giant has introduced IRCTC iMudra wallet and using its OTP functionality, tickets on the Indian railways can be booked rather fast. Other than ticket booking, the wallet also facilitates fund transfer and also you can shop online.

How to use iMudra wallet of IRCTC for train booking:

1. Book your ticket as usual on the IRCTC website or app

2. Then for the payment option, select iPay. Now choose Mudra and key in your mobile number

3. Now you need to key in the OTP generated via iMudra and confirm your train ticket booking.

But to initiate such a payment, you need to register yourself on the iMudra portal of the ticketing agent and after your OTP details are verified. And then you will be sent a physical and a virtual card. For the physical card, the user is charged Rs. 200 and Rs. 10 for the virtual one.

If the card is fully KYC compliant then wallet limit on a per month basis is Rs. 1 lakh while in the other case it is just Rs. 10000 when minimum KYC rule is adhered to. And if you want to withdraw funds using the physical card or transfer funds then you need to be fully KYC compliant.

And for doing so, an IRCTC agent will come to your doorstep after taking the appointment. He upon due verification of the document will update your KYC.
