Vodafone to offer Rs 2200 cashback on select Micromax 4G smartphones

Vodafone India has joined hands with domestic smartphone maker Micromax to offer a total cashback of up to Rs 2200 on select entry level 4G Micromax smartphones. The company says that it aims to increase the adoption of entry level 4G smartphones with this new offer.

Both the new and existing Vodafone customers are eligible for this cashback offer. The offer includes the recent and popular Micromax smartphones like the Bharat 2 Plus, Bharat 3, Bharat 4 and Canvas -1.

How to avail this offer? Customer has to do a recharge worth of at least Rs 150 per month for 36 months. This means user has to do a recharge of total Rs 5400 in 36 months to avail the offer. User will receive a cash back of Rs 900 at the end of 18 months and a cash back of Rs 1,300 after the next 18 months. So, the total cashback is Rs 2200. Please note that the cash back will be credited to your Vodafone M-Pesa wallets.

Speaking about the offer, Avneesh Khosla, associate director – consumer business, Vodafone India said, “This is an initiative to democratise access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G. Recently through our partnership with Micromax we launched the most affordable smartphone in the country at a very attractive price of Rs 999. We are now giving more options to our customers to choose from by bringing four more entry level Micromax 4G smartphones within the special cash back offer. We hope that this will encourage and enable several million phone users to upgrade to a smartphone and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G. “

The effective price of Bharat 2 Plus after a cash back of Rs 2200 become Rs 1549. The phone originally sells at Rs 3749. The Bharat 3 will come at an effective price of Rs 2299, Bharat 4 at Rs 2799 and Canvas-1 at Rs 3799.

Vodafone and Micromax have also come together to Bharat 2 Ultra, a 4G smartphone at an effective price of Rs 999. The phone originally costs Rs 2899 but following the same JioPhone and Karbonn A40 cashback model, the company will later refund Rs 1,999 after a period of 3 years.
