Xiaomi implements GST on Mi accessories, cuts prices of powerbanks, air purifiers & other Mi products
Xiaomi India on Friday announces a revised price list for most of its Mi accessories. This is as a result of the GST (Good and Services Tax) implementation. Xiaomi India VP and Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain took to Twitter to announce the GST rate cut on Mi accessories and said — “In light of recent GST rate cut, we are delighted to pass on the benefit to you on our multiple accessories.” All the Mi accessories with GST rate cuts are available on Mi store for now.
With the implementation of GST, Xiaomi India is now selling — Mi Power Bank, Mi Business Backpack, Mi Charger, 2-in-1 USB fan, Mi Bluetooth speaker, Mi Band strap and also smartphone cases with revised prices. The products with new prices are available on Xiaomi’s official e-store — Mi.com.
Commenting on the initiative, Xiaomi took to its Mi Community forum to post, “GST council announced a GST rate cut and it’s time we pass on the benefits to our beloved Mi Fans. Now you can get your favourite accessory at the price you have been dreaming of.” Let’s take a detailed look at the revised prices of the Mi accessories.
With the implementation of the GST rates, Mi Powerbanks have received a decent price cut. 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 which was earlier available at 1,199 is now selling at Rs 1,099. While the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank Pro is available at Rs. 1,499 — which was previously available at 1,599. The 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 was previously available at Rs 2,199 — now it is selling at Rs. 1,999. It is noteworthy that after the implementation of GST, some Mi products get a price cut, while for some — the prices have slightly raised.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi India launched two new Mi Power Banks in India called the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i which is at Rs. 799, while the second one is the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i which retails at a price tag of Rs. 1,499.
Xiaomi seems to be on a roll, the company earlier this month announced two new budget phones called the Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite. Xiaomi is now gearing up to announce a made in India Redmi phone in the country on November 30. It seems, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is on a roll, especially with regards to its make in India efforts.
